  • Atkins - for the zillionth time

It's with a little embarassment and a lot of anger with myself that I'm sneaking back in. A couple years ago, I found this place but never applied what I learned. Now I'm back right where I started weight-wise.

I know Atkins works and the stories on this site prove it. So I'm here to try to learn to love myself and finally do something for ME!

I know exactly how you feel. This is my first and hopefully last time to jump on the Atkins wagon, however I have fallen off of several other wagons. I see the look in people's eye when they find out that I am on another weight loss plan.

I am planning on using that look to boost my determination. I just imagine the what the looks and the comments will be when I get at least halfway to my goal. I am going to look at this as a part time job and give it all I have.

    Congrats for putting yourself first.

Thanks for the encouragement, Bender. I love your idea, thinking of this as a part time job. I'm going to do that myself. I know it's going to be a lot of work, but we can do this.

      Good luck to you too!

Well, its my zillionth and first time.
We can do this. Maybe start a challenge and the three of us can support each other and the first person to drop out, gets a dozen nasty emails LOL

No trying to sneak in under the radar! We still see you and welcome you back!

Lots of us had fits and starts before we dug our heels in and made the zillionth time the last time. That's why we have STAC (Second Time Around Club) or in some cases Seventieth Time Around Club.

            Come join us!

Here I am again, not sure if I'm ready to start today and knowing how bad I need to. I've put back on 40 + lbs in two years. I hate the way I look and the way I feel. I don't remember feeling this bad when I was heavy. I'm miserable again, every inch of my body hurts. 8 years ago I weighed 230, I started on Atkins and within 1 year I was down to a lovely 142, felt great, looked great. Now I'm 51 and 40+ lbs heavy and I'm starting all over. Monday is the day 01/05/2009. To start my makeover...once again. I'll be spending the weekend cleaning the house of junk food and shopping for the good food. Cookies do not look good on me! I'll be digging out the low carb books and be coming here for support. Thank you for being here, its time to stop beating my self up and get on the band wagon!
