  • Not a Resolution, but a Life Change

I have been here before. I have been on this forum, I have been on this diet, but most of all I have been in this miserable emotional and physical state where my size is dictating my happiness. Shopping has lost its flair, intimacy is only in the dark, summer is a dreaded season.... most of all, playing outside with the kids is a notion, but never a past time.
So, I am here again, but this time more determined to take my life back from the foods that took it away.
I am on way back to induction phase today. And I DID GREAT. I am not going to weigh myself. I am just going to stick to the plan and weigh myself on my birthday, FEB. 26th. That's over a month of change unmotivated by a scale. Its what I have to do to move forward. "Scale Scoping" doesn't work for this lady.

Thanks to everyone who posts pics, and words of encouragement.

Best wishes to all for the new year.

hi Abs -- You have the same frustrations and feelings I've been having for so long. It's hard seeing pictures of myself because until I saw a few at Christmas, honestly, I didn't know I looked that bad! It's amazing how you can not see what is slapping you in the face. You sound like you're ready to start on your journey and with that attitude you'll get to your goal!

I agree with you about not getting on the scale everyday - that only leads to dissapointment - and believe me, I don't need anymore of that in my life!

Welcome back to ADBB and here's to a great New Year!!

      Hey!
Thanks for the support. I didn't realize how awful I looked until I saw a pic...it was pretty bad but needed.
Now, I am on my way. I'm eating broccoli as a late snack right now. I'm all about. I hope we cross paths again, with good news, and great pics!
