  • Hello

Hi My name is Dawna, I am 38 year old female and since stopping smoking two and half years ago find it really hard to loose weight and keep it off.

I went back on to the atkins on Frid and am doing ok so far, I am not really a fan of the induction stage however, mainly because I am a very picky eater and find it difficult to find things that I like.

Used to go to the gym quite often but haven't been since last July, but I do plan on going back in the next few weeks (once the mad rush of people trying to get fit has settled a bit).

I have just recently seperated from my husband which has probably added to more weight gain, probably comfort eating to try and feel better about what's been happening.

But now I am much more focused and ready to concentrate on making myself feel more confortable in my own skin. I really am tired of feeling self conscious constantly about my weight (190pounds) god it looks bad when you write it down. I am only 5ft 1 which makes it worse.

Anyway would be great to speak to new people and share the hard times.

    thanks
    D

    Re: Hello

    Welcome Dawna.
I know what you mean about the mad rush at the gym I have really noted how many are there now. Well it is a good thing as long as one does overdo it and get a burnout and quit after a week. Wish you luck on your journey.
