  • Hello Board & Bye Bye Baby Fat!!

    My husband and I just started a week ago. We got motivated to try Atkins from his sister and thought we would try.

    When we were 3-4 days in we were getting board until we found this wonderful forum full of info and recipes. Now eating is enjoyable and I've been making delicious dishes.

    I admire all of you that have shown amazing dicipline and made dramatic transformations.

    Although I only have 15-20 lbs to lose, it has been a challange all my life. Very frustrating to me to never realize my full potential. I feel like now is the time to do it while I'm relatively young and without kids. I better because it only will get harder from this point.

    1/5/09 - 127lbs (woo-hoo induction is working!)
    1/18/09-125lbs (seemed to be stuck here Must start OWL)

    290 lbs. on 11/02/07 Goal: 145 lbs. or size 14 whichever comes first!

      welcome to both of you. I'm hoping to get my husband to do this with me also...small steps. He loves meat but we have to be careful because he has heart problems and isn't suppose to eat a lot of fats or fatty meats. I know there are ways we can do this together, I've just got to figure it out first.

      Keep your head up, read the book, ask questions and post on the board - it all helps. Also, join a couple challenges and take a few minutes out of your day to help yourself loose the weight.

      Can't wait to hear about your progress!!
