  • New bride, old mom - lost figure!!

Hello all! I am quite happy to have found this forum, I have not posted to one before but look forward to the opportunity to discuss and read other discussions regaring weight loss, Atkins and feeling better about ourselves!
I am 35, 3 kids and newly remarried last summer. I had lost weight prior to the wedding, between being stressed and the pills my Dr. gave me I did alright but then once the pills ran out and the stress level decreased I became a grooms worst nightmare (in my opinion only)! I have ballooned out about 20 pounds since the wedding at the end of August - not a very long time. My hubby is a very lean guy (we don't use the words fat or skinny..haha) - but between me and you - he's REALLY lean! I don't actually wish to trade him, I have lots of muscle - just need to loose the fat and rebuild the muscle. My goal is to feel healthy and strong.
I am ready to take responsibility for my health and wellbeing. Ready for yet another change to my lifestyle.
I'd love to hear from others who might be looking for an accountability partner as I find this very helpful.
    Good luck to you all.

Warm welcome to the ADBB Joon! Nice to have you with us.
Kudos to you for your decision to take control of your life and health. I'm sure you weren't at all a groom's worst nightmare, but I do know how depressing it can be to feel as though you're not "the real you". Very soon, I'm sure you'll be feeling good about yourself again.

Post lots, make friends, join some of the board activities. There's plenty here that's inspiring and motivating.

    Happy Atkineering!
