Hi everbody!
My name is Hafsa, and I'm fat. Duh! Like, why else would I be here? Anyway, I have been on Atkins since October 2002, and I LOVE this WOE. I took a brief hiatus due to being pregnant and having a baby, when I just did Maintanence Atkins. My baby is a yr old now, so I'm back and doing well. Altogether, I've lost 71 pounds. (That's 31.6 kilos for you European Atkineers).
I love the Atkins program. I have tried, (and lost lots of money on), almost all the other programs you could name. I never lost more than 20 lbs, and in most cases actually gained weight. Atkins is the first and ONLY program that ever worked for me, and I'm not going anywhere! I plan to be on some phase of Atkins for the rest of my life. Sugar makes me too sick and too crazy.
I have never been able to think of anything but food until I completed the first week of Induction. Once the cravings went away, I discovered a sane person--me! And along the way, I discovered something else about myself: I DO have a waist! Yay!
I started the program at the weight of 313 pounds. It's still shocking to remember the day I weighed in at that weight. (Cringing at the thought)
Anyway, I want to thank all of you for your constant support and hope to be here posting with you for years to come---unless the low fat police come and round us all up one day, that is!
