  • My Formal Introduction....

Hello, my name is Kelly, I reside in Alabama and I am 30 years old. I am unmarried (but lived with my boyfriend for 10 years) and have no children (but many animals).

For all of my adult life I weighed between 96 and 100 pounds, I am 5'2" tall. Over the last two years or so I have slowly put on the pounds. Probably normal things like getting old, metabolism slowing, eating at 12am and loving anything deep fried have caused this. I now way 130. No big deal, right? Well heres the thing, every two months I have out grown my pants! SO this isnt a I want to be rail thin diet for me, this is a stopping weight gain before it gets out of control thing. Also, I have not grown nor shrunk since I was 100 pounds, the extra 30 pounds on my frame is uncomfortable, unsetteling and has robbed me of my self confidence and pretty wardrobe. Unfortunatly that 30 pounds sits all in my belly. (I get asked when my baby is due more times that I would like to imagine.)

I have quit smoking, drinking alcohol and gone on a diet all at once. Maybe not the smartest thing but in my world each thing is related to the other to give one up and not another would make me still want what I gave up so I ditched them all. I removed all unapproved induction foods from my home and restocked with only what will help me acheive my goal.

I am truly committed to making this work for me and if it does not finding what will. I look forward to meeting and supporting new people in the process and am very happy there is a place like this to chat and gather information.

Wish me the best, as I wish you!!!!

    -Kelly

I think it is great that you are making all those changes at once. Like you said they are ALL connected so I do wish you the best of luck. You have little to lose so be patient as you will lost slower than those who have more to lose. It works and before you know it you will be back into the pants you have grown out of.

Thanks, Newfoundme! Today is my 5th day of induction with no cheating and I have lost six pounds, today is my 6th day with no cigarette and I no longer care to have one. (I do feel the urge on accasion but the joy of what I am accomplishing quickly squashes the urge!)

I hope everyone else is doing well!!!
