    I am a 36 year old mother of 2 and business owner. I have been on Atkins for 1 month and lost a total of 2 lbs!!!
    A little discouraged since giving up sugar, pasta, wheat, carbs, and fruit, now I am told that my stall and low weight loss is due to any one or more of the following:
    Diet Coke
    Sweet-N-Low
    Heavy Cream
    Cheese
    Sausage
    Bacon
    Nuts
    caffeine

    What's left?
    I am determined to stay on this diet because it has halted my rapid weight gain over the last 3 months of 15 lbs!!! However, I have given up everything and would like to see some better results. I exercise 4 times per week.

    Any words of encouragemnt would be greatly appreciated!

    Hey there! Wow that can certainly be frustrating only losing 2 pounds in a month but good for you for seeking out why and not giving up

    I'm by no means an expert but I do not believe nuts are allowed until a later rung, so I would probably remove those from your diet. As far as the cheese and bacon go, those could be stalling your loss depending on the amount consumed. How many ounces of cheese are you eating daily? And I know you have to be careful for the nitrates in the bacon. If the sasuage is processed, that could be a problem too. Diet coke does contain apartame so that's another no-no in the begining phases. As far as the other items go, I am unsure but I'm sure someone can help you out with those. I would try revamping your diet and see what happens over the next two weeks. It may be helpful to post a few days of your menu online so people can review it and actually pinpoint what the problem may be. Best of luck to you, you'll get there!!
