Hello Everyone,
I'm new to this board and sort of new to Atkins. I tried it two years ago but gave up after the first week. I guess I didn't have much will-power and wasn't ready to work hard enough to lose the weight I have gained over the years. My problem is that I gain "all over" making it harder to tell that I have gained as much as I have.
Ten years ago, when I was 30, I weighed 150 and thought I could drop a few pounds then but I was fairly active so I didn't worry about it too much. I had just gone through a divorce, my kids were 6 and 9 so I ran around with them alot. Now they are 16 and 19 ...therefore they don't need Mom to run around with them all of the time. (although we are still very close)
I've also had a desk-job for the past 7 years so that doesn't help in the exercise dept. I use to be a pc tech working in a 53,00 sq ft building.
So anyways, I am here! I've been doing Atkins with my current hubby for the past week. The first few days I thought I would just sleep 24 hours a day. Maybe that was just my body getting use to not having any carbs...since I use to live on them.
Today is day 7 and I am feeling more energetic but still kind of sick to my stomach at times. I'm hoping that's normal and goes away soon because I am READY TO DO THIS!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to the beach in June and want to hit my goal of 150 by then. I thought if I wrote on this board...I wouldn't want to type to everyone that I had to quit or that I couldn't disicpline myself to eat right and lose. I sure hope this works.
Good Luck to all!!!!!!!!
