  • Im a grazer - Need lots of support!

Hello. I really need a good kick in the rear! Ive been using excuses for far too long! Ive slowly gained weight over the past um 8 years. I gained a lot of weight with both of my pregnancies & never lost a pound. About 3 months ago I weighed 212 pounds - now Im at 220 (the heaviest Ive ever been). The weight just keeps creeping on? I never thought Id weigh this much! I have no energy!

Im getting ready to head to the grocery to shop for my Induction foods.

Im glad to be here & hope to reach my goal weight by July 1st?

I am a grazer too. Or at least I used to be. When in induction I had water bottles in all rooms. Especially in the kitchen so that when I got there I grabbed the water rather than the snack. It helped me snack less. Eating a good breakfast and solid meals help too. Hope you got good induction foods. I had marinated flank steak yesterday. It was great.

Welcome Carolinagal! Good to have you aboard.
Soon, I'm sure, you'll be feeling way more energised and much happier about yourself. Just give the programme a chance (particularly the few days of "induction flu" if you happen to get a bout of this) and follow the rules to the letter. The results will follow as night follows day.

      Happy Atkineering!

Hey Carolina gal! You mentioned you wanted to get to your goal weight by July 1st, what is your goal?? The good thing about this diet is you can graze, you just have to graze on the right foods! From what I've found is the first week I was always "grazing" and putting something in my mouth and then this second week I have barely had an appetite. I always eat a big or good size breakfast and I'll typically eat a late lunch but I find it hard to really eat a dinner now so most nights I end up with a small snack or just nothing. You'll proably experience the same thing most likely. Best of luck to you!!

Welcome Carolina, glad you joined. I graze myself but if you have legal foods to graze on, you will do fine. CHeck out FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal as its a great site to track your food intake.
The wonderful thing about shopping for induction foods, you just have to go the perimeter of the store as thats where you will find veggies, meat and cheese and cream.

wait, so it took you 8 years to put the weight on, but you're giving yourself a 6 month deadline to get it off??

Something doesn't add up! Don't get discouraged if you plateau or don't lose all of the weight by your set "time frame". This has long been my reason for giving up. Like if i don't look good in a bikini by summer, then i might as well quit and eat what i want all summer long-- rather than saying to myself-- there will always be more summers, and i will always want to wear a bikini. So if you get closer to your goal date, and you don't think you're going to make it, give yourself a break, lose weight at a steady but healthy pace, and scoot your goal date out a bit. If your goal is to look good by summer, and you don't feel you've gotten there, change your goal to look good by new years.

I wish you a lot of success!! Happy new year!
