Yep, this year is my big 4-0. I weigh 264# starting weight. I have spent the last 2 weeks doing south beach and lost 4#. I am visiting family this week and will be eating as close to induction as possible. I am using fitday to track my foods.

    My goals:
    1. be able to participate in a 5k event by the end of this year
I have a heel spur and old knee and ankle injurys that I will have to overcome.
    2. Weight goals are as follows.
200/178 by my birthday in Sept/155
    3. Keep up with my 7 and 5 yo without panting

    "Ode to the Whoosh Fairy"
Now I lay me down to sleep; A cup of Splenda at my feet!
I'll be good and drink my water--Leave the grape juice for my daughter.
I promise to eat all my eggs, So take these bulges from my legs!
I'll eat my pork--I'll eat a steer--Just smooth these bumps off of my rear!
I'll never even look at jelly,Please take the blub out of my belly.
These lips will never taste a sweet, (Oh if I could only see my feet!)
So, please, tonite before I wake,
    A few more pounds--Whoosh Fairy--take!

hey that was my motto... I had more weight to lose than you so I still have a long way to go, but! I have lost 70lbs since the end of March last year. I had begun to change things right after my 39th birthday. I turn 40 in a week and a half... I am fitter than I Have been in a long long time. I am flexible and can run and have seen some amazing changes. so by 41... I will be fitter than ever... at a weight far below my current goal of 160 lbs... I have realized that through Atkins I can I CAN get to a weight I have not been since i was in grade 7.

It is possible. YOu can do it! I am living proof!
    GOOD LUCK!
