    Hi ALL

Im very new to both the atkins diet and to posting in a forum such as this.

I had read the 2002 new diet revolution book a few weeks back and have no decided to ease into the induction phase rather than just jump into it, simply because.........

.......I actually read and understand the whole low-carb and weight loss/gain issues many months ago and this was before ever reading the atkins book or knowing anything about it. I then decided to cut out ALL sugars one day and ate excemptionally well only to have such severe mood swings and changes that I was surprised (to put it politely and mildly ). It was only after chewing on a piece of starchy bread later that night that I thought I had an issue and I would never ever lose weight. Then I found the atkins book and a friend that works for a local sports supplementation store, and together realised that 1 day was wrong and instead I should aim to slowly reduce and eventually cut out all carbs and so here I am.

Im 30 from the uk, male ofcourse and hope I can learn from you all and help anyway I can

    Thank you

    Adam

    Welcome Adam
If slowly coming down works for you then fine. For a lot of people that sudden break works best.
