  • Introducing Myself

    Hi,

My name is Regan and this is my first time trying the Atkins diet. I've have never been able to stay on a diet for more than a few days so I am really giving this a good try. I have been on the diet for 9 days now and have lost a total of 6 pounds. I am in deep ketosis and haven't started working out yet. I plan on getting started this weekend... either today or tomorrow. I am recovering from a pretty severe kidney infection I have had since January 1st so working out just seemed a bit too much. I am ready now though! Anyway, good luck to all those Atkins dieters out there!

I've got 40 pounds to lose before May 5th, think I can do it?

Hello Regan! And welcome to the board! Your doing great on the weight loss, and sometimes it is a little too hard at first to start working out right away when starting the diet anyways. Especially after a kidney infection! (I know all about those) Keep it up, and those pounds will keep dropping!

Hi Regan and welcome! Congrats on making it to day 9. Congrats also on your 6 lb loss so far. That's terrific!

Adding exercise into the programme is something you won't regret (actually, it's non-negotiable on the plan). Your losses will come easier and you'll get to feeling really toned and healthy. You don't need to start too strenuously if you don't feel up to it yet... just take it in baby stages and increase slowly.

Keep us posted as to your progress. We're with ya!

Drink lots of water, keep those kidney healthy. Welcome Regan. You might not make exactly 40 pounds but you should be close. If you have any questions, post a menu and let the folks check it out for you.
