Hello All!! I am beginning the induction phase tomorrow and am looking forward to seeing results. Like most of you, I tried the low-fat, low-calorie diets by the dozens and none of them worked. A friend gave me Dr. Atkins' book and I will admit, it sounds too easy to be true. I also admit I read all the warnings on the other web sites and got scared. Then I read the messages posted here and have decided to move forward. My husband and I both will be starting tomorrow. Does anyone have any last minute advice? Thank you for this bulletin board. It's very encouraging!

I know folks who have been doing Atkins for years and years and not one of them has had anything other than perfect health. What is healthier, Atkins with its meat, cheese, veggies, eggs, water, nuts (later) etc or something that you can neither pronounce or read and has the word acid in it!! There are studies coming out that tell us white bleached flour may be the reason for the high rate of diabetes and everything has white flour in it. We all know that diet coke is one of the biggest reasons for obesity and we just eat good natural food.
