This website has been really inspirational for me. I've actually been on the Atkins diet before and managed to lose 50 lbs. I stayed in the Induction phase for about 6 months in 2003, once I lost the weight I started eating the way I had before the diet. Big mistake...gained the weight back and then some. For some reason I couldn't get my mind right to start the diet again. It was like I didn't have the will power I had the first time. Anyway, to make a long story short, in Sept '08 a friend, who just had a baby, and i decided to do the low carb diet together...I was serious and motivated. By Dec '08, I'd lost 31 lbs. From thanksgiving '08 to New Year's '09 I slacked off a bit, having dessert here and there but nothing drastic. I still managed to lose 5lbs during this time. About a week ago, I decided to start the Induction phase again making sure I get plenty of exercise. I decided to search "atkins before and after pics" online and found this website. I am so thankful because I was starting to give up. The weightloss stories, before, during and after pics and especially the low carb recipes have motivated me to stay the course. A lot of you don't know this, but you've helped me and for that I say that I say thank you!!!
