  • Tom's orders

Hello everyone! I was really inspired from your weight loss journeys and decided to sign up for the ride. I am a 26 yr old single mother of a gorgeous 4 year old. My starting weight is 214 I'm 5'0 and my goal is to get to 125. I have read the Atkins book but I am yet to fully commit to the diet until today! it seems that this site is very helpful and reassuring to the participants (I need assurance). My downfall is emotional eating especially at night does anyone have any suggestions? I am planning to do long term induction about 30 days or so, so if you have any menu suggestions please message me. I look forward to meeting all of you and hopefully one day I can be someone's thinspiration as all of you are to me. Much luck with all your weight loss goals!

I will post some pics soon brace yourself!

    Re: Tom's orders

Hi Welcome to ADBB. How did today go?
I think eating good meals helps somewhat to take things under control. I also walked around with water constantly to try to deal with my snacking problem.

Hi done&done! Welcome to this WOL. Have you started up yet? I completely feel you when you talk about emotional eating and night binging (at least for me its binging). Its really hard to get through. I think I still snack too much but have it a lot more under control. I do try to only keep atkins legal foods around so that I don't snack on illegal foods. The night eating for me is difficult and happens a lot when I can't sleep which happens often. I love the few times I sleep all night long without waking up and heading to the fridge. I now lock my bedroom door and my kitchen door in order to make me snap out of my sleepy state and get myself back to bed. Its helping! I also keep bottles of water around me all the time and try to drink it first before heading for a snack. It seems to help.

Oh yeah starting a journal under journal chats is great too. You get feedback and members really support and motivate you. I have posted some recipes in my journal that are induction friendly. Take a look at my journal under journal chats and my thread name is "my first journal ever".

Good luck to you and know that we are all in this together here!
