I have done Atkins before. About 6 yrs ago. I was happy with the results. My husband
was on the program also. We started in sept. but at christmas decided to take a break. and never could get back on track. A few years later I started taking Phentermine. Which got me down to my goal weight. In August of 08 I was laid off because the warehouse I worked for moved to Texas. Since then I have been slightly depressed and with that comes lack of motivation and weight gain. And with weight gain comes more depression
. I was thinking about going back to phentermine but I can't find a doctor locally who will prescibe it. My husband And I decided we are going to start dieting on Monday. He would rather count calories than lose his breads. I can't stand the taste of low calorie food. (soft drinks, dressings, cheeses, ect.) Not to mention the fact you can have almost no red meat. So it is going to be interesting trying to cook for his low calorie, my low carb, and still find things the kids will eat.
We have 4 children at home. Our oldest is my stepdaughter 22. She works fulltime. Pays for her personal bills and loves to play WOW on the internet.
Next is our 10 yr old daughter. Miss attitude probably won't live to see teenage yrs. (just kidding sort of). She has been a girl scout for 4 yrs. Cookies will be coming in soon.
She is also currently playing baketball, In the ILEAP program (our schools version of advanced program), On the acedemic team, and a member of STLP (student technology learning program). Sounds like alot. I'm not a pushy parent. She enjoys all these things and asked to do them. But she know that if her grades slip she loses the extra programs.
Our 6 yr. old son is a smaller version of my husband. The doctors somehow cloned my husband and inplanted him in me. He is a complete goofball
. And when he's in trouble he purposely does anything he can to make you laugh so you can't be mad. He just started Boy scouts a few months ago as well as basketball.
We have also been taking care of my nephew 6, for almost a year now. It has been back and forth now for the last 6 months on if he will be returning home. So unfortunatly we haven't signed him up for the extra activities because during enrollment times the talk is that he will be going home soon. then it changes to he isn't That's a whole other page of issues. Last spring though we did have him in T ball. He really enjoyed playing. Hopefully soon the courts will determine if he will stay with us or not.
Well I think that was a long enough introduction. I didn't aim for it to be. I just started typing and thinking of new things to say. sorry.
