I've been reading these boards and finally decided to join. Over the holiday from Thanksgiving until January 1st, I gained 7 lbs! I started low carbing (but not Atkins Induction strictly) on January 2 and have lost 6.4 lbs so far. I bought the book Friday and am contemplating doing it the right way. I love caffiene and artificial sweetners, diet pop, sugarfree jello, so this would be a huge step. I would love to lose faster, so I think I may have to do a strict induction. I have done every diet under the sun and recently have had much failure losing even a couple of lbs... so that 6.4 lbs is actually good for me. I'm glad to be here for the support.
