I am starting atkins again today. It's the only diet i have ever been able to stick to for more than a couple of days and see results.
I did start before Christmas and lost about 3kgs in a week which had me feeling great already. But then i went off it for a few days over christmas and found out i had gallstones after a few painful attacks (too much over indulging at Christmas)! They say with gallstones to follow a low fat diet. So i have been trying but it's not working.
Hence the reason i am going back onto Atkins. I was just wondering, has anyone else had gallstones before? I have an appointment with a surgeon at the end of Feb to see what he thinks i should do about it.
Should i trim the fat off my meat and maybe do more grilling than frying to try and get the fat content down?
Thanks.
