Hi, my names Courtney and Im back once again.
I just had my first baby 3 months ago today. Ever since I had her Ive been trying everything to lose this darn weight.
I have a good 60-80 pounds to lose to be at my goal and 50 pounds to be at pre pregnancy weight. I was wondering if woman with young babies are doing this diet? I tried to do it a few weeks after she was born, but when she would wake up in the middle of the night, i didnt have the energy to wake up and care for her, so i gave that up really quickly.
Do any new mothers have any pointers?
Any and all tips would be appreciated, thanks ...

    I'll be 23 next month.
I have a wonderful/supportive bf and a daughter who is a year and a half old.
If I cant lose the weight for myself, I'll do it for her!

    Re: Back...again

    Hi Courtney.
welcome to ADBB. My girl is 14 (soon 15) There may be some awake nights with her but not at the same level as you. Not everyone checks posts here so post in the induction forum as you may see some more responses. I know there are many mothers here with small children.
Also if you are breastfeeding Atkins recommend a Maintenance movement and not and induction movement.

      Re: Back...again

Hi! I am new to this site but not new to the atkins diet. I had my first baby a little over a year ago and I have 35 lbs to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, (I gained 60 lbs by the time I gave birth). When I was almost 19 I was 190 lbs and I am 5 8". Anyways, I went on the atkins and lost 50 lbs in 6 months and I got to 140. This diet is great!!! I am starting it today and I am hoping to lose my weight by this summer!! I wish you luck and I guarentee you that you will lose your weight if you stick to the diet. ( I didn't even exercise when I was on it ) I am 22 now and can't imagine being over weight for the rest of my life at such a young age! I cam eto this site as support to keep myself determined.
