This group sounds like somewhere I should be, right now I am trying hard to get at least a pound or two a week. Age has certainly slowed me down and if I could get help it would be appreciated. I use fitday and have tracked my weight and sugar since 2003. I have had success on low carb before and love the diet. At 75 it does not get easier. I wish everyone understood that. Execise is harder and has to be adjusted to your capabilities. It took me a long time to realize that I could not do the things that I use to do and to accept the things I am thankful I can still do. Thank you for the invite.

So glad to see you here, Sweeten.

I am 60 and the weight is coming off very slowly, but it is coming off. And I am feeling great.

I had to start with 5 minutes on my exercise bike a day, and that was hard. My pulse was all over the scale. But now I can do 20 minutes twice a day and my heart feels so much stronger.

I will be cheering for you!

thank you do responding to my newbie site. I have not had a chance to put my information on the album yet. your site was very impressive and you look like you have the program well in hand. I hope I can get something together to day. I use fitday and would like to know where I can post it to be reviewed. I think I am on course but the scale does not move.

sweeten09, welcome to ! You'll find lots of knowledge, support, and encouragement here. Regardless of age we all want to lose weight as quickly as possible, but I often have to remind myself that each pound that I lose means I'm moving in the right direction. Atkins is such a wonderful way of eating (WOE). I'm amazed at all the yummy things I get to eat and still lose weight. As a bonus, I'm not hungry all the time like I would be on a low-calorie or low-fat diet.

Wishing you great success! Bon apetit!

Welcome aboard Swee10! I'm 63 and this is my 2nd time on Atkins. I'm amazed at how easily I lost at first but have now slowed down, partly because I've moved to pre-maintainence and partly because sometimes I eat more than I should because portion control is still an issue with me.

Hope you see you in the 50+ forum!

Sweeten, I don't know how to answer your question about Fitday. I haven't set much up there since I have my own site.

Maybe someone else who has an account there can answer your question.
