  • Hello!

Hi, My name is Brenda, and I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I was on atkins from 11/03 to 2/04 and lost 35lbs, now i am "back for more" I gained 15lbs over the last year and am fed up with it! I am a recent newlywed, and my goal is to combat the first year of marriage weight gain, not to mention lose some pounds I gained while we were dating. I think I have an advantage over some atkineers, because my husband is taking this journey with me, as he did before. We have jumped in with both feet first so to speak, we are taking this very seriously. We not only want to lose wieght, but live a healthier life style. With your help, I think that we can attain the goals we have set for ourselves. Thank you in advance for your help and support! :joy

    Hi Brenda! :wave

Welcome back to this wonderful woe. First of all I think it´s great that you haven´t regained everything you lost during the months you were on Atkins. You sure have come to the right place to find support and inspiration! I can´t wait to get read about your coming progress! Since you have been doing this woe before, I have no doubt in my mind that you can do it again, still I want to wish you good luck!

        Hi Brenda and your hubby.

Congratulations on getting back on the wagon and trying it again. I encourage both of you to read the book, Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, edition 2002.

I've been doing the Atkins Way of Eating for a year now. Its the best thing I've ever done. I will never go back to eating the way I did before I found Atkins. I never want to gain that weight back and feel miserable.

For inspiration, go check out the before/after photos and read the inspiring stories in the Loser's Lounge from people who are making this plan work for them. It is very encouraging. Best wishes.

You are lucky. I am on this journey alone in my house. I live with a very skinny meat and potato guy.

Here we are heading into day 8 and we both are doing GREAT!! I have lost 9lbs and im not sure how much hubby has lost, but he is looking better already! I have to admit I had a minor incident with my hand and some easter candy, Whoppers to be exact! But although I am ashamed of myself, I just picked up where I left off and now am right back into the swing of things. I thinks it was just a moment of weakness!
