  • Hello there

Hello, Just thought i'd quickly introduce myself. I'm new to this forum, although I have got to know some of you by posting and receiving many replies already. Many thanks.

I'm female, 32, 5'4 (160cm). on day 13 of Atkins induction. Started off weighing 59 kg and now weigh 57.4 kg.

My aim is to reduce my percentage body fat from 27% to 20%, to replace fat with muscles and to maintain it FOR LIFE. I seem to be losing and gaining the same 7 or 8 kg for the whole of my adult life. I have to admit that I had previously dismissed Atkins as another fad diet. But since being on Atkins, I was amazed at how much energy I have, I have almost no breakouts and I am sleeping a solid 8 or 9 hours a night. I will eventually go back to eating all the fruits and veggies out there, but i seriously doubt that i'll be tucking into pastries and bread as much as I used to. I'm amazed at how great it feels to cut out sugar!

I haven't got any measurements to share. Actually, I don't even know what i'm supposed to be measuring and how to go about it. This is an american concept. I'm Australian, although I now live in London. Will post some photos shortly.

    Re: Hello there

Welcome Rimaha. Good job getting that scale to move. Not always easy when you are within the healthy BMI rang. I was not sure about low carb when I started either but I am a convert. And following the rungs on OWL you will be able to add back a lot of vegetables and fruit.
