Hi All, been reading a few introductions. It's good to know that I am not alone! I am a sugar addict. People laugh and say 'oh, yeah, me too.' They don't understand! I really am! I managed to give up sugar a few years ago, which enabled me to stick to the Adkins diet and lose 50-60 lbs. I am not sure how much I lost, because I stopped weighing myself after I passed 190. (I'm 5'4" and small frame). I started walking, and after a few months, I felt so much better! Then I met someone special-unexpected, since I'd given up any hope of that. Then it was "party time!" We enjoyed pizza and jello shots, and to heck with getting exercise. I even indulged in holiday junk food this year. Now, about two years later, he's still around, but now the pounds have snuck back up on me. I'm up to 170 and pretty unhappy with myself. Time to get back on track. This time I am seeking out the support of others--that's you guys!
