    This is a great website. I am so glad I found it. I am Jacinta. I have been reading about it for a month. I have actually been on the program for 7 days. I haven't noticed much in terms of weight loss but my stomach feels 100% better.

    I hope to share my progress with you guys.

    I am 5' 2"
    I haven't weighed myself in three months, don't even have the scale anymore (its in storage).
    My last weigh in was 172 pounds
    My goal is 130 for starters.

    My husband and I just moved in October so I haven't found a doctor yet to carry out Dr. Atkins' request that we get a physical check up first.

    Anybody here live in Augusta GA?

    I don't live anywhere near Augusta.
    But I was about the same weight as you when I started and I am the same height. So are both of you doing Atkins?

    Push-ups: 450/800
    Abs: 850/1900
    Squats: 650/1200
    Lunges: 500/1000
    Strength: 490/1200
    Running: 50/100 km

      Hi Jacinta, welcome to ADBB.
      If you don't want to weigh yourself (and thats perfectly fine) do measure yourself, chest, waist, hips, upper arm and upper leg. Its fun to watch the inches melt away.

        Thanks for the welcomes.

        No, my husband doesn't do Atkins. He is very, very thin.

        I am in this alone. I am in need of friends who understand my situation and DANDR.

            Welcome! We are all friends here! You will also find a wealth of information to go along with the support you are wanting! Definately get a tape measure and keep track of your inches if no scale and notice the difference in the way your clothes fit. Might even want to try on that pair of jeans we all have that we want to fit back into, to see your progress. Good luck!

              I did found "those" pants at the back of my closet.
              It is so strange trying them on because one year ago they fit perfectly.

              Now...well, they are like a second skin.

              So my goal is to fit them with a little room to spare.
