  • Count Me In!

    Hi,

I'm excited about joining this bulletin board especially the Diabetics Group.
I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes 5 years ago and lived in denial of my condition. I never stayed on my meds and went on and off diets like a yo yo. Each year I piled on the kilos. Finally this year at 126kg with elevated lipids and BP I woke up to myself and decided to give Atkins a go. I've been on induction for 6 weeks and have lost 8kg (17lbs). It's a gradual but steady loss but that's O.K. Best of all my Blood Sugars are back to normal and I feel great. My ultimate goal is to be fit and healthy so I can live a long happy life with my husband and 3 children.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.
