  • Todays the day

Welp! It's 9:00 a.m and I just had breakfast. So far so good. I made chicken and fish ahead of time and some hard boiled eggs. When should I begin to see the weight come off! 4th day? I am so happy to have found this site. I am going to keep posting so I can see the progress of how I feel from the CARB withdrawl.:

    Re: Todays the day

Welcome aboard Theitalianbella! Nice to have you with us.
Good for you, getting foods prepared and ready.
It's actually impossible to say when you'll see the first losses... there are so many variables (age, gender, activity level, medications...etc.) and everyone loses weight in a different way. Some lose inches before lbs, others the opposite.

If you do induction to the letter, you will probably find that you lose between 5% and 10% of the total amount of weight you need to lose, in those two weeks. It's well worth doing a clean induction because your 14 day total losses will also indicate how metabolically resistent (or not) you are to weight loss, and give you a clearer idea as to what your CCLL (critical carb level for losing) is likely to be when you hit OWL (ongoing weight loss).

    Happy Atkineering!

Bella, some folks start to lose it on day one and others at the end of the Induction. We're all so different.

Welcome! Remember to keep your fat intake high around 70 %. Unused protein converts to glucose. Be sure to eat fats and fiber carbs with each protein meal. Good luck and Happy Valentines Day!
