    So I've just joined but have spent many days lurking and picking up ideas and tips. I desperately need to lose my post-pregnancy weight as nothing has shifted in the past 8 weeks.
    I did Atkins in 2003 to fit into my beautiful wedding dress and I did a VLCD in 2005 to get rid of the excess weight following my first pregnancy. As I am on maternity leave, I know I won't succeed at a VLCD because I haven't got the distraction of being busy at work. but will be starving and waiting for my next shake or soup. At least with Atkins I can eat and spend time planning and cooking lovely meals. When I did it originally I did it with my partner, he has been doing slimfast this new year and has lost nothing because he cheats. I will be starting this on Monday and he will start the following week because they are having a "fat-club" at work with weekly weigh ins and prizes! I won't have that motivation but I will be motivated by seeing the scales go down and be allowed to get my pre-pregnancy clothes out of the attic, that'll be 56 pounds away. My goal is Sept because that is when I'm returning to work but to be slimmer over the Summer will be great.
    I've managed to hide in my maternity clothes over these Winter months, it is a gorgeous sunny day today and I couldn't fit my lighter jacket on. Enjoying wearing normal and not maternity clothes will definately be my motivation.
    I know I'm going to need longer than 14 days to do induction but that'll be fine because I like meat and fish, I just need to dust off my old Atkins book and re-educate myself.
    So, I'm going to surf the boards, particularly for recipies and menus and plan my 14 day meals.
