Hello .My name is todd and i started induction yesterday .I am about through the second day and i am starting to feel run down.I hope this works.I am 6foot 3 and 390 pounds.I power lift but have not lifted in over 6 months.During that time i went from 340 to the current 390.A loss of muscle replaced by lots of fat.I want to get down to 275 with as much of my muscle saved as possible.Well nice to meet you all and please wish me well.I will need it with 100+ pounds to lose.

Good to see you here, Todd. You're probably experiencing "induction flu" as your body adjusts to burning ketones instead of glycogen for fuel. It will pass.

    Congratulations on a great start.

If you can last into 4 or 5 days it will pass and you will have new energy. I haven't had any trouble lifting or doing cardio while on Atkins and although I wasn't powerlifting, I wasnt doing "girlie weights" either.

Well i did my cardio for 45 minutes yesterday afternoon and i weighed 374 this morning.I know i shouldnt keep weighing myself but its hard to not do it.Does anyone else have as hard a time as me staying off the scale.LOL.At this pace i might hit 20 lbs lost in the first week. That sounds like way to much to me.I am not use to losing that much that fast.Well hope everyone has a great thursday.Good luck.....Todd.

Hi, Todd. Yes, I had FITS staying off the scale, and it was frustrating and depressing to see the scale go down one day and up the next. It made me so frustrated I wanted to eat more!

Look under the Challenges section of the board... there's a scale free challenge where we can pledge how many days we want to stay off the scale.

I'm weighing once a week now, and it sure is MUCH easier... and saner!
