Hi - my husband & I will be starting Atkins on Monday - he's out of town now - we'll help support each other. Had a couple of questions. First, I have a huge sweet tooth. Anyone have suggestions to help with that during the induction stage? Also, I understand vitamins are essential with Atkins. Is there a particular brand we should be looking at? Thanks for any advice to a couple of newbies!

Welcome Clem, glad you found us and joined. This is a great board and you'll make lots of friends and diet buddies here.
Induction is the time to kill the sweet tooth, not feed it. You'll be so glad you did. Limit yourself and in a week or so, you'll be fine.
The mulit should NOT have iron. I use Centrum Silver. I would also suggest Vit C and Fish oil.

Welcome aboard to you and your husband. So cool that you'll be doing the programme together. It's a great help to be able to share the journey from a practical standpoint and an emotional one too.

I'll echo Desertthorn... kill the sweet tooth. The best way is to cut out the sweet things radically. It won't be long before it becomes much, much easier.

      Happy losing!
