  • I'm back

Hello. I'm so so embarrassed but I'm back. I started Induction on 26th December and stayed on it 100% for 4 weeks solid - and was doing really well (and feeling so happy for the first time in ages) - and these boards were such a fantastic inspiration. Then various personal "challenges" came my way (don't want to tell my woes on here but new job that I am finding surprisingly stressful and then hubby had an accident and ended up in hospital), feeling fantastic and weight dropping faster than I could believe and the most amazing feeling of excitement - but from the one day to the next I just cheated and couldn't stop. Really let myself go and the more the scale went up, the more CARBS and just junk I ate?? My scale has gone up nearly to what I started at - and I have been so upset. However, woke up this morning and decided that all is not lost, (including the weight - *laughs* - excuse the pun) and that today I WILL start again. I hadn't felt that good in years and am upset and embarrassed with myself that I just lost all that control I had when I was on atkins. Anyhow, just had a cheese omelette and today will be 100% again. So nice to be back.....I love these boards and need to visit more often to get inspiration.

aaaah - and I've just had to update my ticker that was looking great and much lower - to give my higher weight this morning. Inspiration is to never ever have to do that again...

Good for you!! Sounds like you've picked yourself up and dusted yourself off! Welcome back!! Make an effort to be on the boards daily. It really does help keep you focused...and focus is what you need when times get tough!!!

Welcome back Kimmala! The most important thing is that you've taken control again and are back. I guess you found out the hard way how slippery the slope is once you cave.

Try to understand what it was that triggered your fall and make strategies for avoiding the same pitfalls another time. You can do it!!!

The boards are such an inspiration, and it's great to be back. Definitely going to be going out for a good walk later, and great news - with my new job (ahem) I have been told that I get Free Gym Membership. I've never been able to afford it before so I think I'll make use of the perks, and go and join this week. Bit shy to go in there though, but I am going to go find out all about it tomorrow.
