  • I am taking this very serious this time!

    Hello all!
I have tried ATKINS before, but have not made it past day 5! I know that this will work, but for some reason, I have so little will power. I am working on losing 40 pounds of baby weight from having 2 babies in the same year. I am excited to share your ideas and words of support!

Hi, Don't let anyone get you down. This is my second attempt You have a day on me with the willpower I have only made it to 4 days. This is my first day again and I already want carbs. What I did this time was I went on The atkins forum and I am asking for advice and words of support. Remember this time is different. Go and Look in the mirror when hungry and say " I am not going to give up this time " It helps to give yourself kind words also.
Good luck, remember we are all in this together.

Hi there everyone I'm new here but i have tried atkins before. I really have to stick to it this time because i recently found out that i have to lose at least forty lbs. for medical reasons. Plus i want to actually enjoy summer again haha. Anyways i think being a part of this forum will be really helpful because we can all support eachother. One question. This is my first day back on atkins and i have a pretty wicked stomach ache did anyone else have that problem? I'd appreciate any advice thanks

I agree. When you LOVE the food you eat, it's not hard to stick to this "diet".

Hey! Yesterday was my first day back too. I did feel a little nauseated before bedtime and I had very little appetite at dinner. I take it as a good sign, but maybe some more "experienced" inductioners will know better. It is never hard to stick to my dieting plan during the week. It is the weekends that screw me over! I want so badly to enjoy my summer too! It seems like I have been putting my life on hold until I lose weight. YOu know, won't go out dancing...til I lose the weight. Won't wear a bathing suit...til I lose the weight. I have even been putting off visiting some freinds for the same reason. It's insane. It has to work this time. Time to start living again.

Welcome, welcome, welcome. So glad to see all of you here. This is great. If you can make it through the first few days, you are going to be just fine. Remember that if you do fail, pick yourself right back up again and move on. Just don't make it a habit!

The trick to avoiding temptation is to keep legal snacks on hand all the time so you can easily grab a boiled egg, or celery with cream cheese, cheese stick, or piece of pepperoni when you're hungry. There are lots of tips and recipes here so be sure and check out the food forums for ideas. Good luck to all of you!
