  • Hi..officially!

My name is Sarah (my 1sr language is Spanish, so sorry in advance). I’ve been around for a while but I didn’t introduce myself officially. I’m a certify nutritionist (not in full practice, just when I have time) and I’m a lowcarb fan but with lots of weaknesses for refine carbs, which I called “poison”… so I know what to do and tell people what to do, but not always actually doing it.
I’m trying to become an Atkins expert in a country (Spain) where everyone is addicted to carb and national sport is to eat a baguette with your three basic meals.

I could promote the diet with some of my patients (most of them my friends), but my actual problem is that I found a different meaning every time I read it and I keep coming back to the book like every week and is fascinating the things I discover each time.

I’ve done Atkins in 2002 and lost 20lb, got super slim but I was much more active, although I misinterpreted a lot of stuff and definitely didn’t follow Induction or OWL correctly….but lowering carb did help. But since I move to Spain (from NYC) I become, little by little, a sugar junkie and a bread addict and on top of that I got married, which make your food choices complicated when need to be agreed by 2 instead of 1.

Anyway…..the good news is that I have taking rehab steps again and I’m intent to live a happy lowcarb life, even w/my husband eating everything he can L in front of me….and whenever possible I’ll try to help and support whoever need it around here.

    so, hello 2 all!

    Hello, Sarah and welcome!!!

This board can provide a lot of support to help you stick to your way of eating even when having to cook "regular" meals for someone else.

Also, it's nice to see a nutritionist who is sympathetic to the low-carb approach.

Congratulations on your resolve, and best of luck!
