          Re: Hi newbie here

Hi Emma -- welcome to . I'm glad you found your way here and have started your journey. We are all here to help each other, so you should never feel alone! There are a lot of people on the board from England also, so if you have questions about food or measurements they might be able to help a little easier than someone who's not from there!

I'm happy you are getting your health straightened out for you and your family. This is a great time to change your children's food choices also - not just yours. The food tastes so good my mother (who is set in her ways and 80 years old) eats some of the meals I eat also. My husband is starting to join in, but they don't eat every meal that I eat, but it's nice when they do.

If you need advise, help, a shoulder, whatever -- you will find it here. I have never been on any diet where the people were so helpful - but this is not a diet, it's a way of life and a way of eating (WOE). Good luck on your journey. If you need anything, just ask!!

Hi, and thanks for all your replys. Things are going really well at the moment, I lost 6lb week 1 and 4lb week 2 so im over the moon. My clothes are looser and my confidence has soared. Im getting more adventurous with my cooking aswell and hoping to try some of the receipies from here which look delicious. My only problem was my measurments. My husband took them on day 1 but when he did them again on day 14 it would appear ive put an inch on my bust and an inch and a half on my hips lol.
                Have a great day everyone.xxx

                  Re: Hi newbie here

Way to go on the 10 pound weight loss ! That's very exciting!

I love getting recipes from Linda's Low Carb site.

As far as the measurements go I would bet your husband measured in two different spots. It's not likely you gained inches. I was going to give you a link to a good chart to reference when measuring, but the link is broken. It may be back up in the future so you can check this thread. It will help you measure in the same spots.

                  Keep up the great work!
