I just started induction, yesterday. It seems real simple considering I am a yo-yo dieter. I have tried every diet in this world. I need to lose at least 18lbs. I am hoping this is my way of life--Atkins. Unfortunately, I was on a cleansing diet last week so I feel I might be putting weight on do to my limited calories last week. I hope I succeed!

Re: New to Atkins
Hi Beachmom!
Welcome... you found the right place for support here that is for sure....
I hear you about the yo-yo! And the Cleanse... pleeease tell me it was not that crazy lemon jouce and syrup thing?
I have a vent about that one... but that is for another forum! *giggle*
Good luck on your journey, and remember when it gets rough (and it will at times) to come here for support.. and just look in the mirror for a reminder of WHY this is worth it
Glad to meet you!

Re: New to Atkins
Welcome aboard Beachmom! Nice to have you with us.
I'm sure Atkins will work well for you... you just might possibly have a slightly slower start, given your recent cleansing diet, though I hope not. If that happens, hang in there and you'll find the lbs do start to disappear before too long.
Post lots and keep us in the picture. We're with you! Before and after:

Re: New to Atkins
Thank you for the support already. The cleanse was the lemon juice, it was horrible but it did take a few pounds off-- it was not a long term diet. So far so good on Atkins. I am not weighing myself for a full week just in case the scale goes up do to my very low calorie cleanse.
