welcome!!! well, i've only been on atkins now for 2 months - but the one thing I can say is - do NOT get discouraged!!! this DOES work. Do NOT compare yourself to others - this is a lifetime commitment and it's one of the absolute BEST things you can do for yourself. my suggestion (as will be everyone's) if you don't already have it - BUY THE BOOK!

also - a GREAT DVD you can get on amazon is called "fathead" and it explains WHY you should be on a low-carb diet.

get as many low-carb (induction friendly) recipes as you can. when you get bored eating the same thing day after day - you're more likely to "cheat"...

one thing i've found that TOTALLY helped is the low-carb bun
Low Carb Bun (i tweak this though - i use only the egg white instead of the whole egg and ONLY 2 tbsp of flax seeds - as you're only allowed 2 tbsp until you get to the nuts & seeds rung.

there's a ton of "faux" foods out there including pizza that i made tonight (which was FABULOUS) - "faux" rice ... (chop cauliflower in a food processor, find more info on the web)
Deep Dish Low carb "pizza" crust i only used 4 eggs & 4 oz cream cheese instead of the 6 it calls for...

Hey, and welcome! Congrats on your upcoming wedding.
50 pounds in 90 odd days is quite a lofty goal. I'm sure it's been done before, I just wanted to say don't be discouraged if you don't get all the way there. With exercise (yay weight training!), you can totally reshape your body even if you don't get to your goal weight.

      Good luck.

Fifty pounds in 3 months is a lot but no matter how much you lose, I'm sure you will look great on the big day. Just keep your goals in mind and don't give up, no matter what!
