  • Hello ANA followers

    Hello.

I just found the ADBB a couple days ago and have posted (and am happy to say, have had answered) a couple of questions. I just found the introduction forum so I'll go ahead and introduce myself. Sorry I am doing this backwards!

My name is Shireen (nickname SheShe); I am a 31 year old female from the DC Metro Area (Maryland side). I am a first grade teacher and I love it.

I have had a major weight problem since I was born-REALLY! I was born at 5.25 KG (that is around 12 lbs!)

Since childhood, I have been on and off EVERY plan on this planet. Nothing worked for me--it always came back with 20% extra!

I hit rock bottom in June 2003 when I reached 262 on a 5'9" frame. I turned to ANA and lasted until March 2004. I actually lost almost 27 lbs and got down to 235. But I was facing seriouse emotional, family and personal problems and dieting was just too much. So I could not keep it up and I quit.

Over the next three months I gained back some but not all of the weight. I went back up to 242 lbs. On June 19,2004 I was able to get my life in order and pay attention to my health. I went back to ANA--seriousely this time. It has been nine months and I am still on induction.

I have 100 lbs to go and I have not broken a single day. I choose to stay on induction because weight loss for me is still very difficult. In nine months I only lost 37 lbs but I do feel better. Of course I still need "to get it right", i.e. enough water, exercise, etc. but I am hanging in there.

Well, that is all about me. Nice "meeting" all of you.

Started ANA at 262 lbs; stopped & gained. Started again 06-19-2004 at 242 Lbs. Goal 130 Lbs!

I can't seem to find it but am going to look for it again right now. Please tell me if I'm looking in the right place. Again Thanks for the much needed support.
