  • Nice to meet you

    Well at 300lbs as of this morning I should have been here a long time ago. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I forgot that I ordered girl scout cookies back in January and of course they come in the same day I started Atkins! I really need to do this. On May 5th I have to speak at a dinner for my company and I realize that I won't be thin by then but I just want to be able to feel good up on that stage.

      You've got almost 2 months before you give your dinner speech, and if you stick to the plan, you will definitely look better then.

        Hi tbrown welcome aboard. Stick with the diet and join a challenge or two to help move things along!

          Welcome to , tbrown!

          You'll be amazed at the progress you can make in 2 months if you focus and give it 100%. This is an amazing way of life (WOL) and way of eating (WOE). Once you get going you'll have more energy, your appetite will decrease, the pounds will start melting away and all the while you'll be eating YUMMY and DELICIOUS food.

            Welcome to the board. I know you can do this!

            As for the cookies, give or throw them away because they are your enemy, not your friend. After a few days on Atkins, things like that totally lose their appeal so you will realize that you aren't really missing out on anything.

            Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!

              Thank you all so much for your kind words. I had some guest today and passed the cookies on to them. I haven't been hungry nor have I cheated. I almost broke down today and had a Diet Pepsi (which I am addicted to!!) but I bought a huge bottle of water instead. Its so strange to be on a diet and not be hungry
