    Hello everyone

Hello everyone l am back. When I logged in my welcome screen said the last time I visited was in July of 2007.

So last time I was here I was doing well I had lost 50 lbs and was well on my way to achieving my goals. Somewhere along the way my wife and family members started getting concerned about my health and the Atkins diet. To appease them I went back to eating less and exercising more. to make a long story short I have slowly gained 30 pounds back in the last year and a half or so. It has not been for lack of exercise that is for sure. I am an avid bicyclist and ride anywhere from from 120 - 150 miles a week and still gaining weight. Slowly but never the less still gaining. So I will be starting the induction phase on Monday March 16th.

Thanks for reading my drivel and I'll try not to be a pain on the boards.

        Welcome back gmule!

Wow, that's a lot of biking!!! It's amazing a person can gain weight doing all of that, but the pasta will do you in everytime! I'm sure you'll do fine this time too and there's no way you could be a pain on the board!

Welcome back! You're in the right place.

Long-term Atkins is very healthy. However, most people think Atkins = Induction. Prior to recently having surgery to remove my gallbladder I was eating things up through rung 8 in OWL (nuts and seeds, a variety of dairy, berries and melon, starchy veggies sometimes, beans sometimes) and shared what I was eating with three different doctors and they all basically said "sounds good".

You'll lose that 30 pounds before you know it. Good luck!

            Thanks for all the encouragment.
As far as ridingthe bike it is easy to fit that in when I decided to ride to work. So when I don't feel like riding after work I kinda have too to get home.
