  • I'm Back

Hi everyone, I'm back after a long time away. Retracing my steps, the last time I was on this board, was back in 2005 with what was then my highest weight of 220. Since the last time I was here, I have been higher than what was then my highest weight, hitting the scales at 234.

I'm now, 228.4 lb and look and feel the worst for it.

Anyway, this will be my 3 day of induction. I'm eating 3 meals a day, and in between meals, when I'm hungry it is a true hunger, but it is always around the time that I'm due for one of my meals.

Im not craving any major foods, but I feel as though something is missing, whether it's potatoes, rice, pasta, soda, cookies or chocolate etc. But once I eat my meal, whilst I feel like something is missing, I'm not hungry.

    Anyway, goals.
    Two days before Atkins 232.6
    Atkins SW - 228.4 lb
Mini Goal W - loose 8.4 during induction.

    That's it for now folks.

    Re: I'm Back

Welcome back! You've made the right decision and since you've done this before, you already know you can do it.

I know about the 'something missing' feeling and it will soon go away once you get the carbs out of your system.

Keep us posted on your progress!

I'm so glad you came back.

Yes, leaving bread and potatoes alone does leave a big hole at first. But if you don't cheat, you will hardly miss them in time. Just make sure you check out the recipe section and experiment with all the yummy things you can have to take their place.

      Good luck!

Welcome back to the best place on earth. Congratulations on coming back to this wonderful WOE. I'm glad you made the decision to change your health for the better.

Within a few days you are going to forget bad carbs and will welcome the good food we eat without even thinking about it. My family had pancakes, eggs and ham steak last night for dinner .... I had broccoli, cauliflower (both with cheese melted on top), zucchini slices and ham -- you know what, I TRULY believe my plate tasted better than theirs! A few months ago I would have laughed if someone would have given me a choice between the 2 meals! Your tastebuds wake up when we get off bread & sugars and food really tastes wonderful.

        Good luck on your journey!

          Welcome back!
Nothing like a mocktato salad or caulifried rice to replace that empty place on your plate. And healthier to boot! Have a happy Atkins journey!
