  • New and Ready to Roll

    Hi
My name is Debbie. This is my First diet ever. Really at 42 and over 300lbs I have decided I need a New me. Tired of being fat, not being able to do things others do, left out. I just had my Right Kidney removed on January 23 along with other Health issues that I am told are weight related.. I dont want to sleep with this mask on my face the rest of my life!

I started on Thursday and I am so proud of me.. I have had the Nausea, headaches, leg aches. Yesterday was horrible and my Husband said JUST EAT! I told him I need support not told here have a brownie. So hopefully that part will change.

I have a issue with Eggs, I am 90% sure they are making me sick, I have decided to lay off them but dont know what else to eat for breakfast.
    Anyone have any ideas?

Well off to explore the board and hopefully get to know some of you.

    Debbie

You don't have to eat eggs for breakfast. You can have meat (bacon, cold cuts, leftovers from dinner/lunch, tuna salad), cheese, vegetables, avocado. I'm not on induction, but yesterday at breakfast I had a salad with small pieces of salami and cheese in it.

    Welcome to the board.

      Welcome, Debbie!

I'm proud of you for not letting induction flu get the best of you! It WILL get LOTS better!

Congratulations on taking this step toward a healthier, happier future!

Eggs are convenient and easy choices when on Atkins, but there are plenty of other options. Check out the recipe section for ideas to keep you from getting bored.

        Welcome to the board Debbie!

You've made the right decision for getting the weight off and you will find all the support and advice you need right here.

If you are experiencing leg cramps, try taking a potassium pill plus a B-complex because I know they really help me.

As for food choices, there is so much more to Atkins than eggs and meat and there are lots of great recipes here on the board and all over the web, so look around and you will be amazed at all things you can eat.

Good luck and keep us posted!
