  • Undecided and looking for input

My name is Mary Ann. I am kicking around the idea of doing Atkins. I have dabbled in low carb and lost 10 lbs. so far. I am not good at doing a strict induction though. I always stray. I guess I just wanted to introduce myself and nose around to see if this is something I can do. I tend to eat the same things almost everyday and get bored with it. I normally have 2 EW and a whole egg with turkey breakfast sausage every morning. I then usually have egg salad or egg and olive for lunch. Sometimes I have a salad and chicken breast for dinner. As you can see, I'm probably not eating enough, but I'm not hungry either. I am open to any suggestions. My weight had climbed to 180, and I am now 170. I think I need to fix my weight ticker.

Hi Mary Ann (that is my Godmother's Name!)

I am not usually one to give alot of advice... (I leave that to the pros ) But I can see that you are not eating enough... you need to kick up your fat% for sure! and add in a few more veggies throughout the day.

Question #1 - do you have the book?? - iof not do get it... you can't do this WOE just winging it....

You say you eat the same things basically every day...have you ever given thought to changing things up ...even just slightly?

For myself in order to stick to a strict induction, I buy a bottle that holds 2 litres of water, and make sure it is always full... that way i am drinking my water. I Boil eggs a dozen at a time (makes phenomenal snacks - and way too easy to toss in a lunch bag) - I pre cut all my salad veggies, without dressing... dry them out and keep them in "daily" quantities. I keep cream cheese on hand... when your tummy starts rumbling a tsp of cream cheese is fabulous!

Anyway... i have more tips, but my coffee break is over... this WOE is wonderful... but you have to go through it in the right way... or you will dissapoint yourself.

Welcome!! It is nice to meet you

Yes, I do have the book. I'll go over to the Induction page and print out all the legal foods. I really appreciate your advice. Thank you.
