    Hello there my beautiful people

After a month of reading, thinking, pondering, stalking the boards and growing more and more dissatisfied at the situation I've put myself in I've decided to take the first step in reclaiming my health and sense of progression.

So not only have I finally registered (an act I was resisting by the fact I would be “joining” a forum and not participating in it) but I've cleared out the larder of everything that even whispers of hollow high carbs and seductive sugars.

After spending my life since I turned seventeen at 11st 3lb (157) the journey of the last couple of years has seen me digest my way to 14st (196) a sorrowful reflection on both the emotional and personal situations that I have found myself in, but as I look at my life I cant help but think and feel that this is almost like a willed experiment or test in self esteem and respect – why poison my body for the sake of trans momentary pleasure when I want and desire something so very much beyond it.

With having a naturally light low muscular frame and standing at 6ft 1inches tall the growing curves and wobbling mass is something that has thankfully stirred me enough to finally take some direct and productive action.

Living in the west of Ireland where a slender form is the norm and having a enchantingly fit boyfriend the signs cry out for a greater expectation and social encouragement to put down the fork and pick up some real health.

You have no idea how often I have found myself reading your threads, clicking through pages of your pictures, seeing the seeds of hope blossom to wild flowers of physical beauty, watch so many of you tumble and fall and dust yourself down before climbing back on the wild horse that is modern life and discover so many of you that not only achieve but truly grow as people, as you shrink as humans – I hope this is a dawning to my twilight dusk so expect to hear many a crave filled rant, recipe questions, exercise routine and a insight into our shared journey!

    I await the adventure

                Re: Kindling the fire

I think days one and two are the hardest! But, now that I am on day 7, seems fairly easy. I am trying to change up foods so I don't get sick of the same things. Today I had lettuce wrap tacos! Pretty good. Keep up the hard work! No show in loss for today, I am hoping the scale will move tomorrow. I have lost around 4 pounds so far.

                    Re: Kindling the fire

I was not really that hungry today, I had to make myself eat something. I don't feel tired of the food though. Did watch some old episodes of biggest loser. That keeps me motivated!!

                      What a quick month!

So far I've lost over a stone (15 pounds) feel amazing and have tons of energy!

Beyond the initial waves of heat, coldness and sweating (it was awful) the tides did turn in my favour and guide me swiftly to my goal
