  • Haven't been here in a few years!

Hi there, I'm Jacob. When I first found this site it was 2005 and I was just starting my journey of the wonderful world of fitness. My old name here use to be J-Dub, but I'm out of high school now and am actually done with college too.

Atkins helped me go from 275-155 around the time I graduated high school in 2006 and at the moment I'm around 190. I'm not one of those people who quit Atkins and gained the weight back because of it, I just wanted to experiment with other plans like The Abs Diet which did help me put on some lean muscle, but I found it a bit too rigorous.

I have more muscle now than I've ever had before, but I'm overweight by a good 15-20lbs. I realized that the Atkins approach is what I am comfortable with and am in it for the long haul this time. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I look forward to trading advice and support with you all.

Re: Haven't been here in a few years!

Thank you, I'd say that the weight gain wasn't because of neglect or changing diet, but from trying to gain muscle mass. With the "normal" diet I was constantly trying to get enough protein at the right time in the day to build muscle.

I'll probably never be able to go back down to 155lbs and I hope I never do, that's just too skinny for my frame. I'll try and get pics up soon from me at my biggest, smallest, and current size so you guys can see my changes and give me some advice.
