My name is Geneva, and my husband and I have been on the atkins diet for 9 days now. Although we've seen major weight lose, we are not particularly excited about it because of the lack of energy, and nutrients that we are not receiving-- due to the lack of fruits and vegetables in our diet. We plan on adding more carbs to the allowed amount because of this. Does anyone have any advice for us?

No, seriously. This is not what Dr. Atkins wrote. The rule was invented by the Atkins company after Dr. Atkins' death and it does not discriminate between different groups of vegetables (with higher and lower glycemic index).
