That I will have nothing in common with most of you on the BB (besides the diet, of course). I suck royally at intros but I will do my best.
I am a 26 yr old guy, I was born and raised in New Orleans, spent 5 1/2 years on an island off the coast of Florida before moving to SE Washington.
I became disabled in 2004 after being shot in the chest (please don't ask details, it is still a sore subject). I have been denying anything being wrong with me since I was shot but have finally been forced physically into the realization that I can not work. To be quite honest, it kills me to know I will probably never work again.
My story is pretty simple... I was raised in an abusive home and when I was 14, I had enough and left (I've literally been on my own ever since), after the years of h3ll I went through, I made up my mind that NO ONE would ever have that kind of control over me again. To make a very long story short, I started taking steroids at 16 and by the time I was shot, I weighed almost 400 lbs of muscle. After being shot, my body went to h3ll from not being able to work out anymore and eating from depression.
I have heard about the low carb diets for awhile now and it makes sense - carbs = insulin and that's not good. I am finally taking some responsibility and doing something about my weight.
I have a tendency to come off as a prick (not really denying it), but I am the most loyal person you will ever meet. I wish everyone the best and I will keep everyone posted on my progress (don't know how much I weigh, scales are not too friendly to guys as big as me, but I have a camera).
I start my induction the first week of April '09

kennewickrockerguy!
As soon as I'm done feeling like a noob sandwich, I'll be posting some questions - one in particular regarding egg consumption. I was thinking about renaming the diet to the "Dr Atkins Revolutionary Eggfart Approach" lol.
