  • Another Newbie! Hi :)

    Hi everyone! I am new here, my name is Jackie...nice to meet you all!

    I am doing extended induction, it seems to be the one that works for me...so far anyways I'd like to lose at least 60lbs, although my Wii Fit thinks I should lose 80-100, I'd rather look like Beyonce then Lindsey Lohan thanks

    So far I am down about 10 lbs in a few weeks...I did stall a bit, so I gave up my beloved coffee last week, let see if it helps!

    Anyways, before I write a novel....I look fwd to getting to know everyone!

    Hi Jackie Welcome aboard! Have the aspirin handy as you give up coffee....rptry weaning yourself from the amount of hightest you use each day, replacing it with decaf. Caffeine withdrawal bites!

        Welcome to the forum Everyone here is really helpful and supportive so kick back and enjoy!

        Congrats on your weight loss so far.

        I agree take no notice of the Wii Fit, when I got on mines it refused to speak to me again, something about overload lol!

          Hi Jackie - welcome. Congrats on the 10 down, that's a great start. I'm a fellow noob, too, but have done Atkins before. I know what you mean about the coffee. It was such a part of my morning routine, but after a week on induction, I've finally gotten over it, thank goodness.

            Welcome Jackie -- glad to have you here! It took 4 different brands but I finally found decaf I like .... my husband had triple bypass 3 years ago so we went from 4 large (12 cup) pots of regular coffee a day to 1 small pot decaf plus they put him on some silly diet that he ended up gaining 16 pounds with! Anyway, I got off track...I do that a lot....try decaf, there are plenty out there but when you find a good one you really won't mind not having "real" coffee anymore...trust me!

            If giving up your coffee doesn't work -- try going to Rung 1 and adding 5 extra veggie carbs a day - it works!
