    Hello
    My name is Jan I am new to the site I have tried and failed in the past am trying with new attitude.I have severe arthritis in my knees and find it hard to exercise do ride my bike daily though really need and want ot lose the fat for good

    Hi Jan! Welcome to the Board.

    Maybe you can do another exercise, something that doesn't use your knees so much. It will be difficult to stick to any exercise if it causes you pain. Did you try the elliptical?

      yes I do have one can use it sometimes with my leg braces i do use my bike but it is not enough!!! so furstrating.lol

        Welcome Jan! I'm glad you found us and are going to give the diet a serious try.

        Do you have the 2002 version of the Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution? It's the one we use here and it fully explains how and why the diet works.

        I have had knee problems in the past and find that the best exercise for me is swimming so maybe you could try that. I also work out with a stability ball which is easy on the knees too.
