    Hmmm...where to start....

    I guess with Hello

    I just joined up today after lurking for a few days. I started Atkins this week after reading his book [2002 version]. I was never a big fan of this "diet" because I only knew the WRONG info about it.

    As I read the book a lot of lightbulbs went off and decided to be the healthiest me I can be I should follow this way of eating.

    PS. My name is Simona and I'm in Toronto.

    Welcome, Simona! Glad to have you with us.

    It's too bad Atkins gets so much bad press these days. It's so good for you! And I get really indignant when I read posts or articles saying it's "unhealthy" or "dangerous". Not so!

    Anyway. Congratulations on choosing to be a healthier you. You can do it! Best of luck to ya.

      If you still have any lingering questions about how healthy Atkins is, check the success stories out and read those wonderful accounts where people post their cholesterol, triglyceride and blood sugar results after being on Atkins for a while!

          Any doubts I had were answered when I looked at the Before & After pics of the members here! Amazing progress!

          I'm happy that my IBS symptoms are gone. I feel SO much better not eating carbs. I wish I had thought of this sooner!

            290 lbs. on 11/02/07 Goal: 145 lbs. or size 14 whichever comes first!
