  • Meet'n and Greet'n

O.K., I'm gonna jump right in here and introduce myself!

My name is Jeannette (J). I am a retired legal secretary (gaming not legal) who finds herself living a great life with my husband and l'il dogie, Dani, in our little slice of heaven, Rio Rico, AZ.

Prior to that, we lived 46 years in Las Vegas and traveled the country for 3 years.

My short term goal is to lose 5 lbs., drink 80+ oz. of water daily and incorporate more than just cardio into my workout routine (not too crazy about weight training). My long term goal is to connect 6 short term goals together!

Although I've done Atkins before, it was a very long time ago, certainly before Dr. Atkins published his 2002 book. In the meantime, I've been on all types of diets, including WW and, most recently Somersizing, and I'm still right were I started all those years ago! It's time to make a change and make it work - or count calories (ugh!)

So, I'm looking forward to helping, encouraging and uplifting others as they do the same for me - here's to final success!

    Hi, Jeannette.
    Welcome to the Board.

For strength training, you don't necessarily have to do weights. You could try yoga, pilates or stability ball exercises instead.

Good luck with your short term goal.

      Welcome to the board, Jeannette!

You will certainly find all the support and encouragement you need right here. Maybe your best bet would be to join an exercise challenge or two. They work for me!

      Good luck!
